Information We Collect
FYT collects the information you provide when you create an account (email address and display name), complete personality assessments (your responses and computed results), and interact with social features (friend connections, tribe memberships, and shared results). We also collect standard app usage and diagnostic data — such as crash reports and feature engagement — to improve reliability and the overall product experience.
How We Use Your Information
Your personality results are used to generate your profile, AI-powered personality summary, and tribe analytics. Your email address is used solely for account management and, where you explicitly opt in, product updates. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Aggregate, anonymised data may be used for internal research and product improvement.
AI-Generated Insights
FYT uses the Claude API (Anthropic PBC) to generate personalised personality summaries. Your assessment responses are transmitted to Anthropic's API for this purpose and are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Generated summaries are cached in your profile and are not used to train AI models. You can delete your AI summary at any time from your profile settings.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies that ensure you can only access your own records. Data is stored in EU data centres. We apply industry-standard TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest. Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@getfyt.co. We will respond within 30 days. Account deletion removes all personal data permanently within 30 days of the request. Some anonymised, aggregate data may be retained for statistical purposes.
Data Sharing
FYT does not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the app — including Anthropic (AI), Supabase (database), and Apple (App Store). Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement and processes data only as instructed by us.
Children's Privacy
FYT is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians with concerns should contact us at hello@getfyt.co.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
